Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure used to treat varicose and spider veins. A medicated solution is injected into the affected veins, causing irritation inside the vessel walls. Over the following weeks, the treated veins collapse, fade and are naturally absorbed by the body.
What Is Electrocautery for Spider Veins?
Electrocautery uses a fine-tip cautery device to deliver controlled heat to targeted veins, causing them to seal, collapse and fade. Ideal for small red or purple spider veins too fine for sclerotherapy.
Procedure Details
Procedure: 30–45 minutes. Recovery: Mild swelling or bruising may occur, with healing within 2 weeks and continued improvement.

Real stories from mole-removal patients
Initial reception was excellent and professional. Waiting area very clean and organized. Inside room now, very clean and sterile. Dr assistant excellent as well, super friendly and professional. I am not sure what the difference is between this specialty and family doctors, but I would suggest the majority in this industry to learn a lot from these people, in many ways. Waiting for doctor assessment. Outstanding doctor amazingly professional. Highly reccomend !!!! I almost feel bad nothing medically to help me with. Haha clean bill of health. All the best and success

Dr. Khan had done many treatments for me including the removal of a cancerous lesion. He provides Kenalog shots for arthritic and painful joints. I am pleased I was referred to him several years ago. He always listens to your concerns. I really like him, always professional and pleasant.
For varicose vein treatment on the legs, generally two or three treatments at four to six week intervals are needed.
Is the procedure painful?+
Sclerotherapy involves some minor discomfort from needle injections. The smallest gauge needles are used, and most patients tolerate injections easily.
Are results permanent?+
Sclerotherapy permanently destroys the treated veins, which will never return. However, new spider or varicose veins may develop over time. Maintenance sessions are usually required every two to three years.
