Real stories from mole-removal patients

Initial reception was excellent and professional. Waiting area very clean and organized. Inside room now, very clean and sterile. Dr assistant excellent as well, super friendly and professional. I am not sure what the difference is between this specialty and family doctors, but I would suggest the majority in this industry to learn a lot from these people, in many ways. Waiting for doctor assessment. Outstanding doctor amazingly professional. Highly reccomend !!!! I almost feel bad nothing medically to help me with. Haha clean bill of health. All the best and success

Frequently asked

Common questions

Is it covered by OHIP?+

Treatment of spider veins and hemangiomas is not covered by OHIP. Please check with your insurance company to see if you have coverage under a health spending or flexible spending account.

Is this procedure painful?+

Spider veins are treated with electrocautery, which uses a low-power electric current to cauterize the small vessels. Hemangiomas can also be treated with electrocautery, but larger ones may need surgical removal under local anesthetic with stitches. Healing is excellent and patients are very satisfied with the results.

What are spider veins and hemangiomas?+

Spider veins are tiny 1–2 mm purple-red superficial veins visible on the skin surface almost anywhere on the body, including the face. Hemangiomas are small collections of blood vessels clustered together into a purple-red spot. Both are painless but can bleed if nicked. Removal is not medically necessary and is considered cosmetic.

How soon will I see results?+

Electrocautery treatment of spider vessels produces immediate improvement. Small scabs form and heal nicely over one to two weeks with petroleum jelly moisturizing. Surgical removal of hemangiomas produces immediate results; stitches are removed after 7 to 14 days, and healing is generally excellent.
